The KLP Experience is more than a portrait session; it is a multifaceted gift that will continue to remind you of who you are forever.

Every aspect of the KLP Experience is designed to be unique to you.

Step 1: The Consultation

We will schedule a time to meet in person and I’ll buy you a cup of coffee or tea, and begin to learn about your dream portrait session. We will discuss pricing, packages, and I can answer any questions you might have. If you decide to book, which I hope you will, we will schedule a date and time. Session fee is due in full upon booking.

Step 2: Brainstorming

We will have at least one phone call between the consultation and the portrait session - after the consultation, I will get my ideas for your shoot organized and we will discuss your vision, all the little details, and make sure we are on the exact same page. This is when we will discuss wardrobe and styling - it’s so exciting to see a portrait session come together!

Step 3: The Portrait Session

On the day of your portrait session, you will arrive at my studio with clean, dry hair and a clean, makeup-free face. My amazingly talented hair and makeup artist will get to work as I finish setting things up for our session. I’ll provide champagne (if that’s your thing), light snacks, and a custom playlist. You’ll be treated like royalty and will feel amazing!

After hair and makeup are complete, we will begin the portrait session. I like to start with posed “look at the camera and smile” shots as we both get more comfortable with each other. Everything has been pre-planned, so it’s a fun and relaxed environment; perfect for drawing out your confidence and natural radiance.

Step 4: After the Session

We will schedule a reveal party at the end of your portrait session to take place in 1-2 weeks. This is a really fun evening for you to come back to the studio and bring your partner, spouse, or some friends, and see your gorgeous images and choose which ones you’d like to purchase. Once again, I’ll provide some light snacks and champagne - it’s a perfect time to unwind and continue the self-love celebration.

Once you’ve chosen your images and products, I will place the order. Many of my products are handcrafted in Italy, so turnaround time can be several weeks. I will be able to give you an estimate of when your products will arrive. They will ship to my studio so I can check that everything is perfect, and I will hand-deliver them to you at your home or place of employment if you live in the KC Metro Area, or I can ship them to you at no cost to you.

But That’s Not It!

The KLP Experience doesn’t end when I deliver your gorgeous products to you. I intend for this to be such a pleasant, luxurious, validating experience that you will want to have a session each year and recommend me to all of your friends.
